Our aims

We believe that a child's early experiences should be of high quality and suited to their own individual
needs. We aim to encourage learning through play in a caring and happy environment, to make friends and
feel secure with those around them.

With our extensive range of resources the children are provided with plenty of opportunities to experiment
with their learning, to develop their, physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social skills.

We believe that the children should all learn to respect each other and their surroundings too. By promoting
positive behaviour in the nursery we aim to encourage the children to show regard for their friends, the
grown ups and the equipment they play with. If we are unhappy with something then we will talk with the
child and find that the response from the child is more effective when we use words like" happy" or" sad"
as they are phrases that they can relate to.

We aim to create an environment that involves parent partnership, after all you know your child much
better than we do! You are very welcome in the nursery at any time and we are always happy to share
information with you about your child's day. Busy Beanie books are written in and sent home daily, which
inform you of what your child has achieved during the day (this is available in the Ducklings and Goslings
room and it can be requested for the Cygnets room.) This is also a method of communicating with the
team if you are unable to come into the nursery.
